The Japanese Automobile Industry
It was the Japanese zaibatsu (business conglomerates) who first produced automobile machines in the early 1900s. During the Korean War (1950-1953), Japan made army trucks for the American government which led to the emergence and growth of the Japanese automobile industry in the 1960s.
The Japanese automobile industry only experienced decrease in its market share recently with the presence of new competitions from China and India and some changes in Japanese government policies.
